Rick Moretti started in the seafood business as a boy growing up in Sea Isle City. Growing up next to Carmen Conti, the owner of Carmen's in Sea Isle City, Rick's first experience with the seafood business was working with Carmen on his boat, The Lobster Boy. Over time, Rick began working in the restaurant and fish market. There he met Colleen Lake, and the two were married.

In 1985, Rick opened his own fish market, Rick' Seafood. The more popular menu items were made by Rick's mother, Theresa Moretti. Her recipes for Deviled Crabs and crab chowder are still exactly the same today. Today, Rick and Colleen are still as passionate about the business and the customers they serve as they were on opening day.
